Hi guys,
sorry to bother you with a question in another compiz thread, but I couldn't find this problem anywhere else (except for someone in some lone comment in a deserted weblog, who had the same problem but no cure).
The thing is, compiz all works fine, rotating cube, bla bla, great effects, followed the guide on gentoo-wiki. Except: all windows open in the Top-Left corner, and do not want to move anything, neither do they want to be resized. Other operations like maximize/iconify work fine. A rather unworkable situation .
The gtk-window-decorator seems to work, I get the window decorations displaying. Now my hope is, someone has a bright eye and/or had the same problem and solved it! So please, help me _________________ Anne // Light travels faster than sound. That's why people appear bright until

Do you have the place, move, and resize plugins enabled in gconf (/apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options/active_plugins)? |

Thanks! That did it. You are my hero, and I feel stupid . I used the compiz-settings manager to check all the plugins, and I overlooked the button that says "show all"... Apparently, the develop felt that resizing and moving windows is not a necessary plugin, hehe...
Thanks again, it saved me a lot of frustration. _________________ Anne // Light travels faster than sound. That's why people appear bright until
