Mmm...I've decided to install Gentoo on my 'big computer' (not my notebook) and had trouble installing from the liveCD (won't work with my netgear pci wireless card (orinoco_pci) so I tried knoppix - Works alright but occasionally I'll get a networking error:
Code: | eth0: Error -110 writing Tx descriptor to BAP |
*shrugs* I can get around the problem by doing this:
Code: | ifconfig eth0 down
rmmod orinoco_pci
modprobe orinoco_pci
netcardconfig |
Which is okay because I only have to do it every now and then (except during emerge sync ing! 5 or 6 times!!) but I was just curious to know what the hell is up with that....
And perhaps it'll help others =) |

esapersona,
Have a look at this thread.
There are a couple of suggestions there, I know for a fact the one I posted worked.
It probably won't do you much good while your installing, but once your up and running you should be able to tweak a bit. _________________ Cheers,
Neil.
