PS: You're files magically turned into data too  If you run "file" on an executable library you get back "data" instead of "ELF 64-bit LSB shared object". |
See the viper7 thread. Some of my files, e.g. /lib/udev/udev_run_devd and /usr/bin/i686-pc-linux-gnu-gcc would "turn into" data, and I am on 32-bit Intel.
This started to happen only after first booting viper7. It did not happen in viper6. However, after having used viper7, viper6 then exhibited the symptoms.
When I first saw the corruption I ran repeated checks - and rebuilds - on the Reiser4 partition, and it came out as consistent. |
