Need help on HostAP

Hi All,

Anyone familiar or used HostAP before?

I am having a problem in using HostAP. I've installed the HostAP (v0.5.7) driver in ubuntu v6.06 and now, I am having problem with the configuration part and problem to run it. I've tried searching for the guides everywhere but that brought me to dead end. The problem is I am new to Linux too.

Anyone can guide me through this.

Your help is really appreciated.

Well, this isn't an Ubuntu board, but in any case, you haven't actually said what the exact problem is. Did you get any error messages? What configurations have you tried? The thing is, I don't know how Ubuntu handles network configuration, and this may be something specific to their way of doing things.

Hi again,

Sorry for posting wrong topic here.

The problem now is I totally don't know where should I start from... I've never done any configuration before as I just installed it and now I am stuck on how to run it...

I'd go to the Ubuntu website or wiki, and search for HostAP. A lot of stuff applies from one distro to the next, but in this case, you'll want some Ubuntu-specific docs.
