|

Hi all!
Since this morning, I've got a strange problem with my laptop: the battery is said to be not present when I plug out AC connector, but it is actually present. When on AC, last full capacity is unknown, battery is discharging, and present rate is unknown. Moreover the battery voltage value is totally unrealistic and changing from time to time between ~2 V to >50 V
What could happened ? Has any one an idea where to look at ? (I tried google, but unsuccessfully, just found info about BAT1... bad search term?)
Thank you by advance for any help. |

Might be a hardware problem. I've had a similar thing, and since the laptop was still under warranty, I had the motherboard replaced by the vendor.
Have you tried booting using a LiveCD and see if the problem still occurs? |

Thank you for your answer
Sorry, but I didn't had time yesterday to answer, nor to give more info.
The problem disappeared about 2 hours laters: suddenly the battery was fully charged and AC was known to be connected by ACPI...
Is there any program existing to test hardware in order to "prove" there is an issue with some components ?
Thank you again ! I didn't thought It could be hardware related (I was still searching back in my emerge log and remembering what I did the last few days). |
