Are there any scripts or apps out there that will allow users to change their own passwords on a webserver using htpasswd? Is this even technically possible, or do I need to go to something like MySQL to make that happen? _________________ "Give a man a fire and he's warm for one night, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life..." |

You can use:
net-www/mod_auth_mysql-3.0.0-r2
or
www-apache/mod_auth_cookie_mysql2
for this. |

Yes, the users are changing their htaccess passwords only. They don't have actual Linux user accounts.
I figured I could do it with mysql authentication, but was hoping to avoid it as this is a box I don't have complete control over, and may not be able to install additional software on. I'm guessing it isn't possible with straight htpasswd, but just thought I'd check. _________________ "Give a man a fire and he's warm for one night, but set fire to him and he's warm for the rest of his life..." |
