Does anyone know how to change the password for gnome-keyring-manager's default keyring.

They only solution I've found is deleting the default key and creating another one. I change my passwords regularly, and this is a pain, because then you have to recreate all the objects on the keyring.

For the sake of clarity:
I am not asking how to change the passwords of keyrings other than keyring called 'default'.
I am not asking how to change the passwords of objects on keys.
I am not asking how to unlock the gnome keyring using PAM.

I am specifically asking how do you change the password that unlocks the default keyring.

I'm using gnome 2.16. Also, does anyone know if they've enhanced the keyring or management app in 2.18?

Well, it's been a week, so I guess that means this is not possible. I'd say that's a pretty major oversight in the design of that application (but that's just my opinion). Thanks anyway.

Down near the bottom of the following URL for PAM-Keyring, the developer of that PAM module created modified versions of gnome-keyring and gnome-keyring-manager that allow you to change your password. I am not sure why they are not in-built features yet.

I have not gone through his tarballs personally, but hopefully there is a diff in there that you can adapt to whatever version of gnome you are running.

YES! Solved. :D

Thank you.

I knew I couldn't be the only one that considers this an inconvenience.
