Kdevelop 3.0 freezes on startup

I installed the latest kdevelop ebuild (masked). It was version 3.0 alpha4-r1.

It worked good, then after a while, for some reason, it just took to freezing on startup, possibly after the 'application wizard' step.

I then reemerged it. No help.

I've now emerged the cvs copy, and it fails inthe same way, only on the 'project' step.

When it freezes, it's on the splashscreen, and the splash part stops updating (if i move a window over it and back, the pretty splash graphic becomes a grey square).

Any ideas what may be causing this? a lib perhaps?

It also seems to be maxing out my CPU untill i kill it.

Try deleting your ~/.kde/share/apps/gideon/gideonui.rc file..
