Hi all,

I've just finished to install my G-box with kde-3.5.6, sys-apps/hal-0.5.7.1-r5, sys-apps/dbus-1.0.2-r1, sys-apps/ivman-0.6.13.
My user has the following id:
uid=1000(pippo) gid=1000(pippo) groups=10(wheel),18(audio),19(cdrom),80(cdrw),85(usb),1000(pippo),1004(plugdev),1009(fuse)

the problem that the automount for my usb disk does not work... every time I plug it in I get the following message:
Code:

Do you have an /etc/fstab entry for it? And, is the drive formatted? I don't know if that'll have anything to do with your problem, but hey, it's somewhere to start :p.

Mine looks like this:
Code:
/dev/sda1               /mnt/usbmem     auto            defaults,noauto,user    0 0

And another thing to check is your kernel configuration. Do you have "Device Drivers->USB support->USB Device filesystem" and related items ("USB Mass Storage Support") selected?

tnx but the solution was an other...
in the kernel config was missing the following option
Code:
CONFIG_SCSI_MULTI_LUN=y
activating it everything work! I found the solution in a post, but rebooting after the kernel reconf I lost the post :oops:

If I find it I will write it... in any case I will notify it in the bugs system to insert it as ewarning...

bye
