printing is creepy with kde apps [solved]

Hi,

I've recently installed a HP Photosmart C4180 (C4100 series), with hplip and CUPS.
Everything fine at first, scanning is great, everything works, I can share it with WIN computers through SAMBA,...
I can print with great quality from Firefox, OpenOffice, and other programs.

But with KPDF, KWRITE, KGHOSTVIEW, it just won't work!!! I get thigs like this: CLICK.

I have HPLIP version 1.6.10 under AMD64 (was marked unstable but only this versions support my printer/scanner!). It really works great with non KDE apps...

CUPS version 1.2.9.

Any idea of what is happening?

That's strange Have you checked if the KDE settings really use CUPS and not another printing system (the setting can be found in kcontrol)?

Mmmmmh yes it was on "generic unix lpd print system".

It works now... thanks!
