Noob question here:
I've set up my fonts so that the first choice for the "monospace" alias is Bitstream Vera Sans Mono. This seems to work as advertised in all of my Xft-aware applications. The problem is that Bitstream Vera Sans Mono does not cover Korean characters, so I get empty boxes. Can I specify font rules so that these empty boxes are automagically replaced with glyphs from a different font? In /etc/fonts/conf.avail, I see a fontconfig file called 65-nonlatin.conf, which is properly symlinked in /etc/fonts/conf.d . Does this do anything? How can I tell? |
