Every now and again, the following message floods my system log and dmesg output. The message consistently appears twice every second. For example:
Code: |
Apr 4 11:11:05 mixolydian pci_set_power_state(): 0000:00:0d.0: state=3, current state=5
|
The only thing that appears to change is the time: the other values remain constant.
Anyone have any idea as to what might be causing it and how to fix it?
Thanks. |

To reply to my own post, I think I've found the cause with the help of this page:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-source-2.6.17/+bug/66963
I have the gnome system monitor applet running in my taskbar. So, that explains it. The remaining question is: is there any way to fix it without simply turning off the network monitor (which I'd like to keep)? |
