Firefox is so intelligent, after I decide to quit it, and emerged opera, it works as good as usual. What a ... program !
(1) before yesterday, firefox works perfect!
(2) today, after install nfs and a font, weird things appears.
when as a general account browse through tor and privoxy with firefox, firefox die IMMEDIATELY
Quote: |
walter@localhost ~ $ firefox
No running windows found
/usr/libexec/mozilla-launcher: line 119: 8129 Segmentation fault $(type -P aoss) "$mozbin" "$@"
firefox-bin exited with non-zero status (139)

when as a root, browse through tor and privoxy, firefox works.
when browse without tor and privoxy, firefox will die NOT IMMEDIATELY
I search some about errors like that kind of errors, no result. |

I can suggest stuff that may or may not help.
One thing would be reinstall firefox, i assume you used emerge for firefox, so emerge morzilla-firefox (if i remember correctly)
or download firefox from the mozilla website,
create a folder 'firefox' in /usr/local/
untar the file into ./firefox folder.
then go into the firefox folder and type ./firefox.
So bascally:
mkdir /usr/local/firefox
cd /usr/local/firefox
tar xzvf ~/firefox*.tar.gz (Assuming its saved in ~)
./firefox
^ that probaly makese more sense. _________________ Please put [SOLVED] when you've found the solution. It makes everyone's lives easier.
From FreeBSD to Gentoo. Now lets have ago at Arch. (It's just not the same)

i hv reinstall mozilla-firefox before, but the error came out again. maybe the best way is to download the firefox directly from mozilla websit and compile installit directly. |
