Im having trouble logging in to my gentoo system. I keep getting a message saying "GDM could not write to the autorizationfile, this could lead to full disk space or no write permission..." .

So I removed all >my< but files and everything in
/home/me/.Trash
/root/.Trash
/tmp/

And then i do df -h and i get this....

Code:

# df -h
Filesystem            Size  Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdc3             222G  217G     0 100% /

So the thing is, im not using that mush disk space... it has to be Gentoo thats storing stuff on the disk and I have no clue where to look...

Plz help

I'd nuke anything in /var/tmp/portage (shouldn't be much, but...), clear out any old/unused kernel sources, then maybe check out the size of /home and /var (e.g. 'du -h /home' as root to catch any other users files)

[/edit] if you use kde, you could emerge kdirstat. that could be very useful for tracking down what's taking up space. [/edit]
