default mail handler under gnome 2

Does anyone know how I set the default mail handler under gnome 2, to evolution say? Galeon (gtk2) looks for the gnome handler and there is not one available.

I'm assuming this must be fairly simple, although it's not obvious on the "File types and programs" dialogue.

I've finally worked this out.

In Applications>Desktop Preferences>Advanced>File types and programs, add a service to Internet Services with the protocol "mailto" and change the program to whatever you want.
