Sorry if this has been asked before. I googled and searched the forums and came up empty... Is it possible to edit or add to several layers at once in gimp? (or another application). Basically I'm making an animated gif. I want to a a border and a text box to each of the frames (layers) in the exact same spot. Can I do this all at once with a single action, or am I going to have to work with each of the 70+ layers individually? |

This is probably not the answer you are looking for but it seems that the best way to create your 70+ layers is by writing a script.
The GIMP allows scripting in Lisp (Script-fu), Perl, Python and C. I have only tried using Script-fu (some time ago) and the Script-fu console was tricky to use in debugging.
However, as the old adage says, "If you give a man a .PNG, he will have an image for a day; if you teach a man Script-fu he will have .PNGs for the rest of his life." _________________ The avatar is jorma, a "duck" from "Elephants Dream": the film and all the production materials have been made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 2.5 License, see orange.blender.org for details. |
