Hi, I have a big problem with my Acer Aspire 3023WLMi. I've installed the Gentoo 2006.1: all is running but not the wifi -> no network detected.
I've done :
emerge acerhk
emerge ndiswrapper
ndiswrapper -i bcmwl5a.inf
ndiswrapper -m
ndiswrapper -l -> OK
depmod -a && modprobe ndiswrapper && modprobe acerhk autowlan=1 poll=0 verbose=3 usedritek=1 && echo 1 > /proc/driver/acerhk/wirelessled
My wirelessled is lightning but I've have :

lo Interface doesn't support scanning.
eth0 Interface doesn't support scanning.
sit0 Interface doesn't support scanning.
wlan0 No scan results

are you sure ndiswrapper is the way to go?
what is your chipset?
(su and lspci) |
