HI
i use kde and beryl
i have set the opacity of the windows from the set windows attrib by various criteria in window management
Also i have the clock set to digital with blinking dots
Now the problem is when i use the opengl screensavers in kde like euphoria and fireworks3d some parts of the screen seem to flicker like the bottom right where the clock is. and sometimes some other parts too. this happens only when using beryl and not with kwin
How do i fix this?

Thnx in adv.

I had a problem where after a certain amount of 'work' that beryl had to do, it would pause and set the screen black for maybe half a second, then restore it. But after that point, intermittently and very quick flashes of black would still crop up. The only way to fix it was to restart X. I asked around, and the general consensus was that it was a memory issue. More than that I'm afraid I don't know, I switched back to kwin for present.

Ask in #beryl or #kde, the people on both those channels are some of the friendliest and most helpful I've met on IRC in a long long time.
