|

Hi there.
I just installed gentoo on a Tatung TTAB510 tablet. I got the pen working and I can click on things. But I can't "right click" on things because the pen only has one single button.
Is there any way around that problem?
Thanks in advance. _________________ Kind regards.

How did you right click in windows?
and what windows manager/desktop enviorment are you using?
EG. gnome, fluxbox etc.
because I think it would be possible to assign some key on your keyboard to rightclick maybe? or maybe double tapping etc? im not sure about the 1st being very practical and I actually have no idea about how to get the 2nd one working.
Anyone think that you could assign double tapping the pen as right clicking? |

I was thinking of using fluxbox on this 1 GHz cpu.
I, too, was thinking about using a key on the tablet for right clicking, but I have no idea about how to get THAT working. _________________ Kind regards.

Well in fluxbox key binding is simple, but im not sure if you can bind right clicking to a key?
if you do decide to install flux then there are guides on getting it working at gentoo.org and gentoo-wiki.com
and they both (well i think they do?) include a part about keybinding.
But as far as I'm aware using a key wouldnt that be an inconvienience?
and im sure you can use keybinding in any WM/DE so don't make that the deciding factor.
when you say you cant right click, how do you know this? is it from the livecd?
Ducky.
[EDIT] its www.gento-wiki.com not .org, sorry for any confussion that may have been caused [/EDIT] |

I have not seen it done elsewhere. It's just that when I'm in fluxbox and using only the pen, I can't open any applications with the "left click". The button on the pen is like a left click.
Using a key on the tablet to emulate a right click would be satisfactory. _________________ Kind regards.
