|
|
I have tested the latest 2006.1 LiveCD however the dmraid did not seem to recognise my RAID 0 array. I read about a bug in 2006.1 so as sugested i went to 2006.0
Booting with "gentoo dodmraid" in that version everything work ok and i can now see my RAID Array setup as it is.
My problem is how i go on from there cause all the info i get for gentoo manual installing from handbooks is not for LiveCD but normal ones (2005.0) where you can find the stage3 file and go on as stated there.... unless i miss something ?
Any help over this matter ?
Is there any way to make the GTK+ to see the /dev/mapper/ instead of /dev/sd* this would make everything much easier
Thanks in advance |

Did you create RAID 0 with dmraid ?
or in BIOS > ?
If in BIOS RAID dmraid will not work _________________ www.gentoo.ro |

thank you for the reply
This was the howto i was following and well at a point it says now you can use the handbook
This is where i am stack as ALL the info i get from the handbook is about the 2005 version where you can easily snatch the stages ... while in the 2006 Live cd i just cant find the commands to do the whole work manually and install it via coomands as everything is explained for the gui installation.
In the Live cd i cant just fetch the stage 3 files its just a big image in there |
