Hi Folks!
I have the laptop mentionend above!I have ubuntu working either, because the minimal live cd of gentoo didn'T recognize my hdd...seems to be a strange sata controller...however, ubuntu works, and it's also possible to install gentoo within ubuntu....now my problem:

My kernel hangs and the last message I can read is the following: I have an bios bug 01010001, caused by ehci 0000:00:10.4. After this message nothing happens anymore!

My Laptop has a via unichrome (vn896) card, and a via chipset, the usb controller is also from via(lspci output from ubuntu)....i really tried for 4 days to build a working kernel.....hope someone can help me....
By the way: According to dmesg | grep -i apm of ubuntu: Bios not found

I have gentoo working for over 2 years on my Desktop without any problems, but I dind't believe it's that hard to configure a kernel;)

Thx in advance for any help!!!
