I have just loaded Gentoo onto my Dell C400 laptop following the instructions, and when it rebooted, I get the error message above, right after it executes Call Trace:

Most likely your kernel is not configured correctly.
I guess the kernel is not able to mount any of the partitions on your drive.
What filesystem do you have? Could you post /etc/fstab?
Boot with the LiveCD and mount your drives to get to the file.
it would be nice to see the .config file from your /usr/src/linux directory

Well, do you have ResierFS and ext3 support compiled as a module or into the kernel?
Could you post your .config file?

I cannot post the config, as I cannot attach the floppy and cdrom simultaneously. I can assure you I have all file systems support installed.
Any ideas? |

Also, I started with a stage 3 build and it updated to 1.4 r5 durring the install.
