I'm trying to install Gentoo on an HP NetServer LP2000r with 6 SCSI drives attached to a NetRAID-2M. The 2006.0 CD fails to setup my raid card completely. The 2006.1 CD sets up /dev/sda, but doesn't show anything (other than control) in /dev/mapper. Now when I start to write the partition tables with fdisk on sda the system crashes. The first time the system locked up and spewed info to the screen, the second time the system started to print out info to the screen until the video went down.
I'm booting the minimal CD with "gentoo dodmraid" to get these results. I have no clue where to go from here, any help would be very welcome. _________________ Semper Fi |

There are two ways to live and do things.
1. Doing, thinking, regretting.
2. Thinking, doing, enjoying results.
I see you are a big fan of first way? Why on the earth you want to build dmraid on an h/w RAID? I insist you read about different RAID's, how to set them up, how they function before you start install. _________________ My Gentoo installation notes.
