hi, i'm still new to gentoo. been using for about 6 months or so now, so please bare with me. Anyway today i go to put a burned dvd in my dvdrom drive only to find out it isn't mounting anymore. i don't know if it's hal, or dbus causing the problem or what. i've tried everything i can think of to get it to work, with no luck. it was working fine other day until now. nothing automounts either before it would automount, but i'd have to do it manually do to a some security (pordon the spelling) problem with hal.
here is my fstab settings:
/dev/hda1 /boot ext3 noauto,noatime 1 2
/dev/hda3 / ext3 noatime 0 1
/dev/hda2 none swap sw 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/dvd iso9660 noauto,users,user 0 0
#/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto 0 0
/dev/sda1 /mnt/Storage reiserfs defaults,user,users 0 0
/dev/sdb1 /mnt/flashdrive vfat defaults,user,users,umask=000 0
any help would be greatly appreciated.
p.s. here's the strange thing i can play dvd's just fine
i think i found the problem my dvd drive is going bad |
