Joystick Swapping?

Hello all,

I have a gamepad and a Stelladapter. Both work just fine, but I like to use the gamepad for MAME and the Stelladapter for things like Atari800, Stella, etc. Everyone seems to look to /js0 as the joystick to use so I have to unplug one or the other and reboot to get the stick that I want to use to be /js0.

Is there a way of swapping /js0 and /js1 so I can keep both of them plugged in and switch to whichever one I want to use?

you should use udev rules for each joystick than edit the configs of your apps to use the joystick you want for them respectively

I'll give the udev rules a try. There doesn't seem to be a way of selecting which joystick to use in the emulators, except Stella. I have a problem mapping keys and joystick with SDLMame, for some reason.

Well for mame I use advancemame and in ~/.advance/advmame.rc you can set your joystick
