What file do I edit in order to change Grub's boot parameters so that it waits for 5 seconds instead of 30 seconds for me to select a boot option? _________________ Cheers

Change the "timeout" value in /boot/grub/menu.lst. |

for some reason i don't have any files in the boot dir. they aren't hidden i don't think as there is no files or dir listed using ls -la either.
the system boots fine but i am confused. _________________ lowkey

You can switch virtual terminals (Alt-Fx, where x is between 1 and 6) and run several commands simultaneously, if you like. |
