I stuck the CD in, booted it, typed gentoo and hit return. It printed somethings then said it couldn't find a tty and just quit. Couldn't get further. I've found nothing referring to this. Someone please help. _________________ Help me!!! |

This seems a little vague.
Are you able to boot or linux install media? Do you have another dist installed on your system?
There are also some options you can pass to the kernel when you boot. When you come to the
screen, press F2. Some of these option may assist you, try a few of them.

I do have win98 on /dev/hda1 and RH7.3 currently resides on the rest of /dev/hda(2-. I'm at work now and can't recall the specifics of the error. I'll try it again from home and get a more specific answer, _________________ Help me!!! |
