|
|
Hi there. On my ATAPI cd-rw-drive it seems like cdda2wav and cdrecord
from app-cdr/cdrtools-2.01.01_alpha10 need different lines for the same
drive in /etc/default/cdrecord:
Code: |
#ident @(#)cdrecord.dfl 1.4 02/07/07 Copyr 1998 J. Schilling
#
#
# drive name device speed fifosize driveropts
#
drive-cdda2wav= ATAPI:0,1,0 -1 6m burnfree
drive-cdrecord= /dev/hdb:0,1,0 -1 6m burnfree
|
I use burncenter for cd-burning and copying. Has anybody observed the
same/knows a solution?
Thanks, hsgg. |

There has been some change in addressing ide devices in cdrtools. use -scanbus for exact addresses.
dev=ATA:100x,y,0 |

Unfortunately, cdda2wav doesn't like dev=ATA:0,1,0 either.
'cdrecord -scanbus' fails with message '/dev/pg*' not found.
Do I need to compile some kernel support for it?
'cdrecord -scanbus dev=ATA' gives something like
Code: |
scsibus0:
0,0,0: 0) *
0,1,0: 1) 'Description of my CDRW-Drive'
0,2,0: 2) *
etc.
|
Same when put 'dev=/dev/hdb' or 'dev=ATAPI'.
But they all give warnings like 'not supported' or 'using badly designed ATAPI interface'. |
