Hello, trying to run fetchmail as user, as recommended, when booting by adding fetchmail to default level but it fails with error message complaining that '/etc/fetchmail must be owned by you' currently it is owned by sysadmin:sysadmin.

I can start the fetchmail daemon as user sysadmin via webmin but want it to start on booting.

Any ideas?

cheers

Is there no other way using standard fetchmail?

You could run fetchmail in your crontab, I believe.

Thanks for reply, sorry meant any other to run a daemon?

I can't daemon from webmin as user as /etc/fetcmailrc is owned by user!

Just want to be able to do on boot.
