Hiho,
nach http://www.gentoo.org/doc/de/guide-localization.xml soll in die make.conf der Eintrag:
LINGUAS="de".
Nun der ist drinn, auch zeigt mir ein emerge app-office/openoffice diese USE-Flags an:

Jetzt nach 5 Stunden kompilierzeit auf meinem AMD64 war alles umsonst, es ist trotzdem alles in englisch. 
Hat jemand einen Tip wie ich OO auf deutsch kompilieren kann? Ansonsten ist es unbrauchbar für mich und ich muß mir ein anderes Office suchen gehen. Auf die alte 32 Bitversion kann ich dankend verzichten, auch habe ich Java abgeschaltet weil SUN es nicht hinkriegt ein sauberes 64 Bitjava mit Mozilla-Browserplugin zu erstellen. Blackdownjava 64 Bit nimmt OO ja nicht.
Bin für jeden Hinweis wie ich es schaffen kann dankbar.
PS:
Mit diesen USE-Flags ist OO sauber kompiliert, Hochachtung:

Ist auch wirklich nicht langsam für nur ein 5 stündiges Kompilat

Did Intel produce at any time bugfree HW?

Unter extras->optionen-spracheinstellungen
(bei dir dann eben auf englisch -> "tools->options->language settings")
kann man, jedenfalls bei mir, die Sprache einstellen.
Ich benutzt aber auch die vorkompilierte Version
(glaube aber nicht das das einen Unterschied macht) |

Danke, dort kann ich ausschließlich US auswählen 
Da Gentoo jedoch noch einen Bug hat der sich auch bei mir so bemerkbar machte das ich überhaupt nicht emergen konnte, mußte ich im ebuild rumfuschen um es überhaupt kompilieren zu können, nicht das ich dort fälschlicherweise eine Zeile zuviel auskommentiert hatte. Ich kompiliere einfach nocheinmal über Nacht.
^^ Genau dies war nun mein eigener Fehler, ich hatte zuviel auskommentiert.
PS:
99% aller Software auf meinem System läuft mit diesen C-Flags, so schnell habe ich noch nie ein anderes System gesehen, vom bootsplash Grub/Kernel bis zum Desktop, ich liebe Gentoo.
