When I focus on random field where you can put text (eg. adress bar) and press shift+del, Minefield segfaults. Can anyone confirm that?

I had a lot of these things with a lot of key combinations, but with my latest build (at some time this day) I think it went away.

The last svn revision should fix the hunspell to use the system myspell dictionaries - thanks armin76 for the patch update.

Why is building Minefield with system sqlite3 disabled?

Because last time I checked, they were using sqlite internal structures, but it seems there is a patch on https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=263381, I'll look at incorporating it in the patchset.

It seems linking with system sqlite is impossible for now due to bug 403891. I tried to compile Minefield with a patch from bug you've posted above and it failed while linking files to libxul.so complaining about undefined reference to sqlite3Os.

yep, that was the problem when I tried making a patch and found it a little bit strange that the patch in bugzilla is so simple.
I'm afraid that we must wait till they fix it.
The 403891 itself should not be a problem on a gentoo system because of the rpaths built in libxul...

Someone on IRC said, that it is possible to make minefield use the KDE icons, is that true?
(Without a theme.)

Hmm, mine is using them as default since displaying icons without libgnomeui was fixed.

So why does mine not do that?

I tried:
minefield-9999-r4
official mozilla beta2 build
current mozilla nightly

All of them show the normal gtk icons, although for the minefield-9999-r4 (which I use normally) there are some icons missing (tab close icon for example).

Hi
the last ebuild updates (now @rev 86) somehow killed AdBlock(shows icon but claims "component couldn't be loaded") and the search bar allows typing but does nothing on Enter or klicking the search icon.
error in error console:
Code:

Error: uncaught exception: [Exception... "Component returned failure code: 0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE) [nsITextToSubURI.ConvertAndEscape]"  nsresult: "0x80004005 (NS_ERROR_FAILURE)"  location: "JS frame :: file:///usr/lib64/minefield/components/nsSearchService.js :: SRCH_ENG_getSubmission :: line 2079"  data: no]

build environment:
Code:

What gtk theme are you using? I am using gtk-engines-qtcurve. Try it, maybe it will do the trick.

@MoinMan:
I have noticed the search box problem, but I don't think that it has something to do with the changes in the ebuild, more with some update.
As to the AdBlock, I don't use it, but probably the cause is the same.

If I remember correctly, last time I had this problem with AdBlock, not sure about the search bar, was when native-uconv patch didn't apply and was left out.

Installed gtk-engines-qtcurve, didn't seem to do anything. Copied, that gtkrc file to ~/.gtkrc-2.0
I chose the theme with gtk-chtheme, didn't help.

Is there more to do?
Might this be related to the fact, that I'm using KDE4?

Maybe. I've got KDE3 so I don't know.

the problem with the password dialog in two different forms and without labels should be resolved now (thanks to armin76 for the solution - the problem was an obsolete wallet extension).
I have moved xulrunner and minefield-r5 builds to use mercurial as much as they can, there are still some modules which must be fetched with cvs (but is not that much) - for these builds there is no offline flag anymore.

I'm having problem building net-www/mplayerplug-in-3.50 against Firefox 3-beta2 from the mozilla overlay. It seems that this is a wide-spread problem. net-www/mplayerplug-in-3.45 fails with FF3 and net-www/mplayerplug-in-3.50 doesn't emerge. I thought maybe it had something to do with xulrunner, so I reemerged the latest firefox build (www-client/mozilla-firefox-3.0_pre20080108) without the xulrunner use flag, and then reattempted to emerge mplayerplug-in-3.50. Same error.
Thanks,
James
