I have been looking for an USB WiFi adapter that I can use as access point on my gentoo laptop. I stumbled across the Asus WL-167g being cheap to get and I found notices on the internet that the chipset ( railink ) is supported with AP mode. I tried to get this working but did not succeed. With the RT73 CVS I could get the managed mode working but nothing works with AP mode.

Anybody had luck getting this wifi adapter working in AP mode or any chip based on the RT73 ?
