Gigabyte 965P-DQ6 + >=gentoo-sources-2.6.19 = kernel panic

I'm stumped, I'm sure it's something small I'm missing, but I can't seem to get 2.6.19 or greater to work. I've tried the vanilla-sources as well, but it refuses to work--and the panic messages suck so bad that I have no hint as to what's blowing up. So, can someone with the same motherboard that has 2.6.19 or 2.6.20 working please post your .config and the kernel line from grub.
