grub.conf is very basic :
title=Gentoo Linux
root (hd0,0)
kernel (hd0,0)/boot/bzImage root=/dev/hda3
I have tried adding all sorts off vga=??? entries but when I hit [RETURN] at the Grub screen all goes blank - but the box continues to boot and I end up having to give the three-finger salute
Ideas? |

This usually indicates that the resolution/color/refresh parameters you set for your framebuffer are outside the range of your multisync (hopefully!) monitor. Try setting them to something less aggressive until it works, then move up from there. |
