Salve ragazzi ... non riesco, dopo svariati drivers provati (gnutenprint, turboprint, e "ufficiali") a far funzionare la mia stampante Epson RX520 su gentoo 2.6.20-r2 ... qualche consiglio? lsusb la vede perfettamente, la installo, ma poi mi dà "printer not connected ... " ...  e da lì non si schioda ...

Più che un problema di driver (che servono solamente al momento della stampa), mi pare sia un problema di configurazione relativo al supporto per le stampanti tramite interfaccia USB.
Consiglio una lettura attenta alla guida ufficiale (controlla di non aver tralasciato qualche opzione) e relativo controllo della configurazione di CUPS.

mi pare che ci sia un problemino con udev se è un multifunzione alle volte la vede come scanner altre come stampante.
