I have a Gentoo system set up with five HDDs in a RAID-5 array. I installed another drive to run Windows off of. The problem is that f)*&@$ing Windows DEMANDS a partition on the first HDD. So I make it one. Then it winds up with a 2GB "C" partition, and a 497GB "E" partition. Everything should work fine. Unfortunately, Win$hit decides that certain things have to go on the 2GB partition.
Any way around this kind of imbecility without switching my drive configuration around to make the new drive the SATA drive on bus 0? |

I just went ahead and changed the controller assignments. Good God does Windows suck. |
