ALSA MIDI with cs46xx (Game Theater XP)

Hi there,
I have desparately been trying to get MIDI to work with ALSA, Jack and Rosegarden the whole morning.

Though crippled, KMidi can playback everything I give it. I assume it uses the OSS emulation layer in ALSA.

The frustrating part is that I don't get any complaints - everything seems to work fine, except I don't get any sound when trying to play anything from the MIDI channels in Rosegarden.

I am certain both ALSA and Jack are configured properly for normal operation, but I'm not sure if I was supposed to make any changes when I'm going to work with MIDI?

How did you make it work?
