Hallo,
I just installed 2007.0 and almost everything works perfect. Everything expect my USB-WLAN-Stick. I use the very latest mm-sources like I always do, but the support for my Stick seems to be broken. The Stick is a D-Link DWL-G122 Ver.B1. and is based on ralink's rt2500usb.

Code:
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 2001:3c00 D-Link Corp. [hex] DWL-G122 802.11g rev. B1 [ralink]

I used the built-in driver rt2x00, which seems to be written for the new WLAN-stack (mac80211). I remember this combination worked in an earlier release of the mm-kernel, but don't know which one it was exactly. So here is what happens when I plug the stick:

Code:
usb 1-2: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6
usb 1-2: new device found, idVendor=2001, idProduct=3c00
usb 1-2: new device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
usb 1-2: Product: 802.11g WLAN Adapter
usb 1-2: Manufacturer: ANI
usb 1-2: configuration #1 chosen from 1 choice
wmaster0: Failed to select rate control algorithm
wmaster0: Failed to initialize rate control algorithm
rt2x00lib->rt2x00lib_alloc_dev: Error - Failed to initialize hw.

The modules get loaded but the stick doesn't work at all.

Code:
mobi ~ # lsmod

Unfortunately the kernel seems to lack support for the older WLAN-stack, so I cannot install any other driver for the stick.
Does anybody know about this particular problem? You can check out emerge --info as well, if this helps you.
Thanks in advance.
