|
|
I'm having trouble to download emails from a POP3-mailbox. It seems that 1 email is 'stuck'
and is blocking the way for all the other emails. On my own server I could easily fix this
by logging in to it with ssh and access the mailbox with Mutt, so I can delete the email
that is causing the trouble. However, this is not my own server. So I'm looking for a tool
that allows me to access the mailbox without actually downloading the emails and allows
me to delete one or more emails from it.
I tried net-mail/popick and that tool comes close to what I'm looking for. But it isn't really
userfriendly. It's ok for now, but I would like to have a more userfriendly tool for future trouble.
On windows there is AD Mailbox Manager that does a good job. But that is windows... Besides
it has to be payed for and the demo does not allow deleting emails.
Does someone a good tool for this?
Many thanks! _________________ If there is one thing to learn from history, it's that we usualy don't learn anything from it, at all. |

Check out popselect. It's a command line application that I found on FM a little while back.
Very handy, especially if you need to remove 100000000 duplicates....

I downloaded the source. But when I try to compile it, it complains
that it wants getprogname and gethostname
Code: |
checking for getprogname... no
checking for gethostname... no
configure: error: Required functions not found, quitting!
|
Does anyone know what package provides these functions? _________________ If there is one thing to learn from history, it's that we usualy don't learn anything from it, at all. |
