It finally dawned on me that the digital-camera port on my laptop is, in fact, a FireWire (IEEE1394) port. The output of lspci looks like this: Code: | 01:00.0 FireWire (IEEE 1394): Texas Instruments TSB43AA22 IEEE-1394 Controller (PHY/Link Integrated) (rev 02) |
And, lo! It works! ... But...
... it doesn't seem to be using DMA. It doesn't transfer nearly as rapidly as I expected it to.
And, it doesn't seem to want to use DMA.
Am I missing something? |
