System Mail via Remote SMTP

Ok, I would like to have system mail (messages from cron, etc) sent via a remote SMTP. Basically I would like to be able to access my system mail from outside and my local ISP blocks ports so I can't really do a full feature mail server... I'd like the mailx command and other system internal mail to be sent via remote SMTP. Any way to do that?
