Hi,
I'm building a new system at the moment and I'm considering a Core 2 Quad Q6600 with a EVGA or Asus P5W (DH).
Does linux support quadcore?
What do you guys think I take best? The duo core or the quadcore? _________________ Calling atheism a religion, is like calling bald a haircolour. |

From my experience, it seems to support quad core GCC 4.2 manages to utilise all four cores at ~100% (with -j5), whereas 4.1 didn't, for some strange reason.
I've never had a dual core, so I couldn't compare the difference. But it does fly, metaphorically speaking. |
