It looks like the Beryl SVN ebuilds from the xeffects overlay are gone. Have I missed something? Has a major changed occurred within the last week or so? _________________ [ Kawa-kun, new and improved!! ]

There's a missing config option in the ebuild for gconf enable/disable. It assumes you have gconf, but shouldn't. The ebuild needs to be fixed. For now, emerge gconf and then try again.
Oh, and compiz is part of the merged package. Look in the ebuild for compcomm (it's a meta package). _________________ If God were a pickle, I'd still say "no pickle on my burger".
