Hi All !
I got in contact with the ScummVM software through this thread on the forum. ScummVM lets you play the old Lucasarts adventures on Linux (and other OS's). Since I simply loved those games, I wanted to try it on my Gentoo box.
I just did an and followed the instructions on the FAQ on ScummVM's website.
Now I have all my old Lucasarts games working !
- Sam & Max (this one's so great .. they don't make games like this anymore )
- Day of The Tentacle
- Indy4: The Fate Of Atlantis
- Monkey Island 1
If you happen to own any of these games, be sure to check out ScummVM. It 's really great, you can even use graphical filters so the gfx quality improves! (less pixelated)
Here's a screenshot of my desktop running Sam&Max using the super2xsai graphical filter, while idling on #gentoo
Fullscreen is also possible ofcourse! In fact you can easily switch between it with Alt + Enter.
Well, I hope this was useful to anyone, because these games were/are really the best !

thanks for the post. I'll let this thread sit here for a couple of days for people to comment on, then I'm going to move it over to tips 'n' tricks.
