I've just installed Gentoo and rebooted, but when I go to run vgscan --mknodes, I get the following error:

Code:

Locking type 1 initialisation failed.

Does anyone know what causes this & how to fix it? Thank you.

Have you made sure that LVM/RAID is enabled in your kernel?
