|

Hi!
As I'm using rhythmbox for playing audio files and as it has no equalizer I thought that there will maybe an equalizer directly for alsa.
Does anybody know if there's any?
Quicksearching with google didn't help me. _________________ Gentoo - the chosen distro. |

I don't think there is, but fancy sound cards might have something separate. I've never seen anything for my basic onboard intel8x0.
If you pipe your audio through a software-only interface like arts or jack, there might be something. |

alsamixer is perhaps what you're looking for, but it is very basic. _________________ CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo

I'm merging audacious now, as I think it has an eq.
I just don't like amarok (sounds like "I'm a rock") wich has an eq too and kde. _________________ Gentoo - the chosen distro.

so does amarok. some sound cards separate bass and treble into 2 controls, but i haven't seen anything that can go further than that. you're pretty much stuck with application-based software equalizing.
