KDE equivalent of Gnome app?

I was just on lifehacker.com and saw a Gnome app called devilspie, I was wondering if there is a KDE equal? I am not running metacity and the only howto I could find for it was in the Ubuntu forums and that only deals with Gnome. I really would like to have a terminal directly on my desktop. Any help is apprecieated.

AFAIK devilspie is a X app, it should work on KDE as well. just do a simple script yourself its all textbased...some instructions here
