I'm going to be in China for a bit this summer and was thinking I might buy a Dragon based PC to play around with. I assume I'd be able to install RedFlag on it, but I would much rather use Gentoo. Does anyone know if this would be possible? _________________ "Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy." -Edgar Bergen |

I've used redflag on some AMD systems without any problems.
Likely you can run Gentoo, but you'll have to play around a bit with compiler flags. Likely, you will want to use generic x86, rather than CPU specific, compiler flags.
will be a little slower ... but still has some coolness factors running on a dragon!
if you know of any state-side suppliers of these chips, drop me a PM, I'd love to get my hands on one to play with _________________ -Tim Smith |

I'm an idiot .. the dragon is MIPS based, not x86....
would still likely not be too difficult, and I'd still like to get one to play with! _________________ -Tim Smith |
