Hi!

I cannot seem to get my own kernel to work on my new Core2-Duo with an ASUS P5VD2-X mainboard.
The LiveCD-Kernel works flawlessly, I just need some additional drivers and patches and thus need to bake my own.

The Problem: no matter what options I choose, the kernel seems unable to access the SATA-Drive.
The Question: does anyone have a working kernel .config (2.6.20) for this or a similar board?

did you activated in Device Drivers ->Sata & PATA
AHCI Support and JMicron Sata support ?

Jup, did that.

I now managed to compile a working kernel using genkernel and activating just about any setting I found on the gentoo hardware wikis
