Hello,
I'm seeing this since xf86-video-i810 2.0.0 came out, but I'm writing about this just now since I hoped this issue would disappear after a while.
The problem is that, with xorg-server 1.3.0.0 and xf86-video-i810-2.0.0, if I try to use mplayer, totem or xine I just see a blue window.
Sometimes the pc freezes so hard I've to press the power button.
Ah, by the way, I've AIGLX enabled, however not enabling it doesn't solve the issue.
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82852/855GM Integrated Graphics Device (rev 01) (prog-if 00 [VGA])
Subsystem: IBM Unknown device 0543
Flags: bus master, fast devsel, latency 0, IRQ 11
Memory at e0000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=128M]
Memory at d0000000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=512K]
I/O ports at 1800 [size=8]
Capabilities: [d0] Power Management version 1
Any idea? The only workaround for me is to downgrade to 1.7.5 of xf86-video-i810. _________________ One of the universal rules of happiness is: always be wary of any helpful item that weighs less than its operating manual. -- (Terry Pratchett, Jingo) |

Moved from Multimedia to Desktop Environments.
Could this be: bug #177420, #175588 or #175686? If it isn't, it is probably appropriate to file a bug upstream. _________________ www.gentoo.org.au || #gentoo-au |
